We can’t believe it has been 1 year since we got married in the beautiful hunter valley with our family and friends. I packed up a surprise breakfast for Sanna and put our portable fridge in the boot of the car to hide it there and keep it chilled over night
In the morning we had breakfast (with a little bit of rain) down on the harbour. Sanna enjoyed her surprise of different organic yoghurts, muesli, fresh fruit and juices. That’s just her favorite breakfast things.
Here are some photos from the 3 days we just had in Adelaide’s wine districts with mum and dad. We went for our friends Jade & Johns wedding at a vineyard.
We also stayed in the German town of Handorf, a old German linked town in the middle of the Adelaide countryside.
It was a lovely relaxing weekend away and we enjoyed every minute of our time with mum and dad.
I downloaded a couple of photos from the Sydney to Gong 2013 bike ride. I tried to pose for a photo of me with both arms and legs off the bike for a second but the photographer didn’t get it.
This year for the Sydney to Gong ride of 85km it was meant to be me Sanna and Brendon. Sanna had to pull out the night before because of troubles at the store so it was just Brendon and I. Here are are some photos. The temperate today was in the low 30’s so it was pretty hard going, especially when in direct sun light.
At the start line, 1000’s of riders ready to go.
Very camp pose Brendon
Me looking for the start line
The one third point where we snacked on choc chip muffins and a cup of tea
Over the finish line, we did it in 4 hours flat. I think last year I pushed my hardest and didn’t take any breaks to get about 3 hours.
After the end we went to Maccas for some fooooooooooooood
I burnt the following Kilojoules and at Maccas I ate and drank around 6000 Kilojoules
My friend Easton took his Lotus to one of the areas that was hit badly by bushfires today. The area would have been devastated by fire. You can see an animal skull that would have been trapped by the flames and not able to escape. The photos show a real contrast between the burnt ground and the brightness of the Lotus, 2 great contrasting photos.
This has to be the meeting room with the best view ever. Its a secret meeting room in my offices building for the board and special guests.
It is right at roof level and has a full service kitchen attached, toilets and a bar. I hope staff are invited here for NYE fireworks, it will be great!
My personal site about life, friends & family, living in Australia and a fair bit on cars too :)
