Jenolan Cave Ghosts tour
I organised a trip of 12 Friends to drive 3 hours West of Sydney to the other side of the Blue Mountains to go see the Jenolan caves and to go on a underground ghosts stories tour of the caves.
All of Jays great photos can be seen in his album from the trip here> https://www.flickr.com/photos/in5an3/sets/72157645176967782/page1/ but these are my favourite ones below.
On the way the guys stopped for a drone flying session
Greg’s seriously very expensive flying drone with live camera feed and GPS,
Brendon and Joel also flew theirs.
Joel and Easton watching the live footage from the drones aerial camera.
This is the cottage where we stayed, it was freezing outside around 5 degree’s
Map of the caves from the early 1900’s
All ready for the tour and in the warmth of the Caves tour guides office.
Descending into the caves
Twisting stairs down into the caves
Beautiful features
Underground river, although its very very still and doesn’t appear to be moving
The group ascending back to the surface
Back outside and it was a lot colder than in the caves. Caves temperature 15 degree’s, outside around 5 degree’s
By the way we didn’t see any ghosts The whole trip was Interesting!

Capital Punishment 2014 event photos
I just remembered to go grab my events photos from the Capital Punishment 2014 MTB event. I was pleasantly surprised how these photos came out, some of the best quality sports event photos I’ve seen.
Here was just starting and for some reason it looks like I’m on the phone, but i cant remember being on the phone?!? it was very early in the morning.
My team mate Ian just in front of me, like he was 3/4 of the time.
I was really impressed with the lighting and colours in the next 2 photos, especially the golden browns on the tree’s on those dark photos in the early morning forest.
These 2 are right at the end, only a few KM’s to go and it was a long downhill section down Mr Stronglow to the finish.
Lake Conjola and Sannas mums house being built
Sanna and I went kayaking today after breakfast in Lake Conjola. Was a nice way to start the day. The water was so shallow, if you fell in you could stand up and the water would be at your waist at the most.
We visited to see Sannas mums house being built, its about half complete. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large living room and a double garage.
Sydney North head
Today its Sunday and Sanna and I went for a walk around Sydneys North head. It was on and off raining all the time but were not scared of the rain. You get to North head via the Manly ferry.
At North head we discovered some lovely views of the city and a lot of history from the 2 world wars. We found a old fort painted in a strange camouflage design, looks like happy camouflage.
There are tunnels underneath that can be explored via a tour. Dad we will have to do that with you one day. We are now on the ferry back to the city a bit cold and wet.
A sunday arvo walk around the harbour
2014 Capital Punishment race results
As I discussed in my main article on the race last week, Ian suffered 2 tyre blowouts in the first half of the race, such a shame. Below you can see how I believe it affected our split times.
2 x tyre blowout repairs took us we worked out 17 minutes, so our actual finish time was 4:41
